UK’s Opera House Casino Expands

The Opera House Casino in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, UK, which opened in 2005, has activated its Small Casino License after an infusion of £250,000 investment capital. The money will allow it to increase its gaming offerings, add to the food and beverage menu and hire a new assistant general manager.

As its name would suggest, the casino is located on the former site of the Royal Opera House in the historic town of Scarborough.

The casino’s managing director, Steve Mosley, told the Scarborough News, “The investment and activation of the new casino license enables the team to take another step in the evolution of the famous venue in the town and will allow us to increase our gaming and entertainment choice for our customers.” He added, “We will be supporting the new offer with an engagement campaign and new menu, as well as supporting the Yorkshire Coast Business Improvement District.”
