CNIGA Announces Upcoming Conference
This week, the California Nations Indian Gaming Association is hosting the annual Western Indian Gaming Conference in Southern California.
The California Nations Indian Gaming Association is hosting the 15th annual Western Indian Gaming Conference this Tuesday and Wednesday at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Southern California. Unlike previous years, however, there will be no trade show connected to the conference.
Some of this year's seminars will touch on topics like internet gambling, Class II and Class III gaming, the economic future of the tribes and the Indian Gaming Special Distribution Fund.
"CNIGA is especially thankful to our sponsors for stepping up their support at this critical time in the history of tribal government gaming and demonstrating a willingness to build partnerships for the future in Indian country," said CNIGA Chairman Daniel J. Tucker. "These partnerships are critical to protect the sovereign rights of California tribes to conduct gaming on our own lands."
Tucker said the WIGC's primary sponsors, including the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation, the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, the PENTA Building Group and Aristocrat Technologies, were integral to the conference's success.
