Illinois Racetrack Has Shortest Season Ever

Illinois racetracks are holding shorter and shorter seasons, a symptom of an underlying ailment caused by a declining ability to fund competitive sized purses. Fairmont Park (l. during its heyday), may have held its last meet ever.
