Steve Karoul, who has more than 30 years of casino experience, has been named the new vice president of casino marketing at Foxwoods Resort Casino and MGM Grand at Foxwoods.

Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprises said Karoul will plan and implement promotional programs for both properties and will also be responsible for managing special events at the two properties in Connecticut. He will report directly to Chief Marketing Officer Robert Victoria.

Karoul was a vice president of marketing from 1999 to 2006. He most recently served as senior vice president of strategic casino marketing for the Las Vegas Sands Corp. He was responsible for staffing and organizing its new Marina Bay Sands casino operation in Singapore.
