GLOBAL GAMING BUSINESS PODCAST: Jamie Odell, Chief Executive Officer, Aristocrat Technologies

Jamie Odell took over as CEO at Aristocrat 18 months ago after a career at Fosters Brewing, where he led the beer company to record profits. At Aristocrat, he has a challenge not only with the down economy, but also with Aristocrat’s wide-ranging markets from Asia to Europe and beyond. But North America is the company’s main target these days and Odell explains that new products and systems have given the company a leg up in this market. He talks about the long-awaited replacement cycle, server-based gaming and other issues of importance to slot manufacturers. He spoke to Global Gaming Business Publisher Roger Gros from his office in Sydney Australia in August.
