GLOBAL GAMING BUSINESS PODCAST: Gary Loveman, Chairman and CEO, Caesars Entertainment

Gary Loveman has been with Caesars Entertainment for almost 15 years now, the last 12 as CEO. His vision and foresight were immediately apparent when he joined the company, but no one could have foreseen the difficult economy that the industry has endured over the last three years. After a rough period, Caesars—recently renamed from Harrah’s—is still expanding and in an enviable position should the economy roar back anytime soon. In addition to the U.S., Loveman is looking to expand into Asia, which will put the Caesars brand in the hottest gaming market in the world for the past few years. And on the most controversial topic of all, online gaming, Loveman says Caesars is poised to push for legalization at the federal level so the government can get some benefits from the activity, which is already being conducted illegally. Loveman spoke with Global Gaming Business Publisher Roger Gros at his Caesars Palace offices in February.
