Melco Crown Entertainment Limited, owner of the City of Dreams in Macau (l.), is planning to offer bonds in Chinese currency the equivalent of about $350 million. Subsidiary Melco Crown Gaming has found a group of lenders willing to arrange and underwrite credit facilities of about $1.2 billion, primarily to refinance the City of Dreams facility.

Casino developer Dan Lee said he’ll wait for the Texas legislature to finish its session before he seeks financing for his $450 million Mojito Pointe Resort in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Casino gambling in Texas could impact his new resort, which he hopes to open in 2013. He also settles a lawsuit with his former company, the operators of nearby L’Auberge du Lac Casino Resort. The passage of a referendum on the project in Calcasieu Parish last weekend will make development easier.
