GLOBAL GAMING BUSINESS PODCAST: Courtney Muller, Senior Vice President, Reed Exhibitions

The second decade of Global Gaming Expo (G2E) brings with it some major changes for gaming’s largest and most important trade show and conference. While the show continues its mission of “of the industry, by the industry,” it does it during a different timeframe during the year and at a different location. No, don’t worry, G2E isn’t leaving Las Vegas, it’s simply moving to a more convenient location at the Sands Expo Center, directly on the Las Vegas Strip, adjacent to the Venetian and Palazzo casino resorts. The earlier start, in the first week of October instead of the third week of November, means that the show works better for exhibitors and attendees alike. Courtney Muller is the longtime leader of G2E for Reed Exhibitions, which along with the American Gaming Association, owns the show. Muller explains how G2E will change because of the new dates and location and what other surprises organizers have in store for 2011. She spoke with Global Gaming Business Publisher Roger Gros at the Reed offices in Norwalk, Connecticut in July.
