A recently released report recommends that British Columbia casinos should encourage gamblers to buy in with electronic funds transfers from certified institutions and also to accept checks for payouts of $5,000-$10,000. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said casinos frequently are used for money laundering. In addition, a self-exclusion program will be increased after it was revealed that a third of gamblers in British Columbia on the no-play list got back into gaming halls, according to two new studies.
