Katrina Lane has been with Caesars Entertainment for almost 10 years. Her path to her current position, chief technology officer, went through the marketing departments of the company. That was no coincidence as Caesars uses new technology—everything from ticket-in, ticket-out to the latest in social networking—to market to its more than 15 million active customers in its Total Rewards program. Lane explains how the latest technology can drive business—as well as create situations where new media might be a problem. She spoke with Global Gaming Business Publisher Roger Gros at the Caesars corporate offices in Las Vegas in December.
