Las Vegas visitors next year should be able to test their high-speed driving skills a new million SpeedVegas motorsports park located south of the city.
SpeedVegas developers began work on the project located on 100 acres of land situated east of I-15 near the Sloan exit about 10 miles south of Las Vegas.
Project planning has been in the works for four years and will feature a 1.5-mile road course on which visitors can pay to drive exotic sports cars, such as Corvettes, Lamborghinis, Porsches, and Ferraris, the Las Vegas Review Journal reported.
Developers anticipate tourists at Las Vegas casinos will be their primary customers and will provide free transportation to shuttle them from their hotels to SpeedVegas, co-founders Tom Mizzone and Aaron Fessler told the Review Journal.
The track is surrounded by desert and drivers going as fast as 120 mph will traverse elevation gains of up to 60 feet, Fessler said.
