$6 Million Stolen from Wynn Macau

Casino chips worth almost HKD47.9 million (US$6.1 million) were lifted from a Macau casino last week. The suspect was described last week as a 50-year-old male dealer who worked in a VIP club.

No arrest to date

Last week a man described as a VIP dealer reportedly walked away with more than almost HKD47.9 million (US$6.1 million) in gaming chips from his job at Wynn Macau.

At a press conference, Judiciary Police spokesman Eric Choi Ian Fai said the thief allegedly stole the gaming chips and put them in a bag before taking his leave. There was no evidence that he used a weapon or employed force in the alleged theft, reported GGRAsia.

“During the investigation or after the investigation is finished, if we have found any security-related matters that the casino can improve on, we will communicate with the casino on that,” Choi said.
