The Hard Rocksino Northfield Park took in $20.6 million in July, which was its best monthly total since it opened in December 2013, the Ohio Casino Control Commission reported.

That led all Ohio casinos, which combined for $66 million in gaming revenues in July.

Meanwhile, the Jack Cleveland Casino reported $15.5 million in revenues in July, down $1 million from its June tally.

The revenue generally was split evenly among table games and slots and was down due to the Republican National Convention, plus local roadwork and construction interfering with traffic.

While the Jack Cleveland saw a decline for the month, the Jack ThistleDown Racino in North Randall saw a $1 million revenue increase.

The increase largely is due to Jack Cleveland encouraging its regular patrons to visit the ThistleDown while local construction projects are completed. The Ohio Lottery Commission took in a total of $80 million for the month among seven racinos across the state.
