The Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe of Washington state June 12 announced that it would be adding a conference center to the Phase 2 five story hotel project at 7 Cedars Casino that it already announced.
Jerry Allen the resort chief executive officer said the conference center will accommodate up to 800 attendees and will be built after the Phase 1 $39 million four-star hotels opens in the late spring of next year. The project has already broken ground just off U.S. Highway 101 in the town of Blyn. It will include a hotel with 100 rooms in four stories and two small conference rooms totaling 230 seats. It will be oriented towards adults, rather than families.
He told a Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce audience, “We are on target. We’ve been test riding this thing for a long time to make sure we don’t have any hiccups.” He doesn’t expect Phase 2 to be built for at least five years. It will include up to 200 additional rooms in another four-story tower. It would be the largest, if not the largest hotel in the North Olympic Peninsula.
Phase 2 would widen the appeal of the resort to families by including a pool and spa.
A third phase, which would include a third tower and other 100 rooms, is also planned, said Allen.
