76ers Partner with DraftKings

The Philadelphia 76ers have signed a marketing agreement with DraftKings Inc., a major competitor to the National Basketball Association’s official one-day fantasy sports partner, FanDuel Inc.

The Philadelphia 76ers aren’t getting many wins in the NBA, and now they are turning against the league’s chosen fantasy sports partner.

The team has reached a marketing agreement with one-day fantasy site DraftKings. They are the first NBA team to sign with the site, which is the official daily fantasy game of the National Hockey League and also has partnered with the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots in the National Football League.

The NBA’s official one-day fantasy sports partner is FanDuel Inc. FanDuel also has marketing deals with the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Orlando Magic, Dallas Mavericks and Chicago Bulls.

DraftKings, however, will now become the presenting sponsor of the 76ers’ official website, online newsletter and mobile application.

“There is incredible opportunity emerging in the fantasy gaming market, and we are proud to be the first NBA team to align with DraftKings,” 76ers Chief Executive Officer Scott O’Neil said in a statement.
