888 Holdings to Offer Online Sports Betting in Spain

888 Holdings has acquired an online sports betting license in Spain and will enter the online gambling market there.

888 Holdings have reached a deal with Bilbao-based casino operator Nervion and will acquire the firm’s online sports betting license from Nervion’s Apuestas Ganador Online. The move means the company can enter the Spanish sports-betting market.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“I think we have made significant moves forward in Spain for sports, I believe we will be operating a sports book in Spain ahead of the World Cup,” 888 Holding’s CEO Brian Mattingley said in published report.
