888 Holdings, through 888poker, has signed a two-year deal with Svenska Pokerförbundet—known as the Swedish Poker Federation—to host Poker-SM’s online poker portion, or the online Swedish Poker Championships.
Svenska Pokerförbundet is a non-profit organization that uses revenue generated to promote the game of poker in Sweden.
Mauritz Altikardes, CEO of Poker Event, owner of Poker-SM, told Casino News daily that the partnership will allow the federation to grow and work with a committed partner that will support the online poker community.
The deal will cover about 12 events this year, which are to be hosted by 888poker from May 24-30.
