Affinity Furloughs Nevada, Missouri Employees

Employees at several of Affinity Gaming casinos, closed due to the Covid-19 virus, received temporary furlough notices after previously being paid. More than 1,900 workers were laid off at four Nevada properties and 275 received notices at two Missouri locations.

Las Vegas-based Affinity Gaming casino employees have continued to be paid since the company closed several casinos in response to the Covid-19 virus. But now, company officials said 1,903 workers would be temporarily furloughed starting April 17.

Affected casinos include Silver Sevens Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Whiskey Pete’s Hotel and Casino in Primm, Primm Valley Resort in Primm, Buffalo Bill’s Hotel and Casino in Primm and Rail City Casino in Sparks.

Earlier this month, Affinity furloughed employees at its Missouri casinos: 132 at Mark Twain Casino in LaGrange and 143 St. Jo Frontier Casino in St. Joseph.
