Affinity Posts Best Quarter of 2016

Adjusted cash flow hit $17.7 million for Affinity Gaming in the 12 weeks ended September 30, the company’s best performance this year. Affinity is best known as owner of the three casinos in the Southern Nevada border town of Primm.

Affinity Gaming, operator of Whiskey Pete’s, Buffalo Bill’s and Primm Valley Resort on Nevada’s Southern California border, reported adjusted third-quarter cash flow of .7 million on net revenue of .4 million.

It was the company’s best 12-week period of the year on a cash flow basis, although revenues were down from $101.9 million compared with the third quarter of 2015. Operating income for the quarter reached $9.1 million, 0.7 percent ahead of last year.

A highlight of the quarter was the completion of a $3 million renovation of the 248 rooms at Whiskey Pete’s together with beefed-up promotional and marketing programs.

The upgrade is part of a multiyear effort to modernize, renovate and enhance Buffalo Bill’s and Primm Valley as well, the company said. This will include a revamping of the food and beverage product and a repaving of roads and parking lots.

Affinity also owns the Silver Sevens casino in Las Vegas, the Rail City Casino in Sparks, Nev., and five casinos in Colorado, Missouri and Iowa.
