AGA Accepting Hall of Fame Nominations

The American Gaming Association announced that it is now accepting nominations for the 2017 Gaming Hall of Fame, which will hold its inductions the week of the Global Gaming Expo. John Acres (l.) was one of five entrants to the 2016 HOF class.

Nominations for the 2017 Gaming Hall of Fame, an American Gaming Association program, are now being accepted.

The Gaming Hall of Fame recognizes leaders who have made significant contributions to and achievements in the gaming industry. This year’s event will take place during Global Gaming Expo 2017 in Las Vegas on Wednesday, October 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Venetian Las Vegas, during an invitation-only event.

Nominations will be accepted until Aug. 18 in the following categories:

• Commercial Gaming: Affiliated with a commercial casino gaming company that contributed integral service, experience to the industry;

• Tribal Gaming: Affiliated with a tribal gaming operation that significantly impacted the industry;

• Gaming Supplier: Affiliated with a gaming manufacturer or supplier that contributed integral products to the industry;

• Industry Influencer: Contributor who had a positive influence on industry; and,

• Industry Pioneer: Led the charge in creating a new game, product, experience or other never-before-seen change for the industry.

More than 80 gaming leaders have been inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame since its inception in 1989. The complete list of Gaming Hall of Fame members is available on the AGA website, americangaming.org.
