AGS Holds Second Annual GameON Mexico

Gaming supplier AGS held its second annual GameON Mexico Customer Summit last week at Piso 51 in Mexico City, with more than 50 casino operators in attendance representing gaming properties across Mexico. The annual event is designed to bring AGS’ customers together with AGS leadership for a day of learning, networking, and hands-on product demonstrations.

“GameON Mexico is an important event for us because it allows us to spend time with our Mexico customers in a private setting,” said AGS President and Chief Executive Officer David Lopez, “sharing updates on our products and our growth plans to further cement our relationships with operators. Our Mexico business is very successful, and coming off of 2018, we’ve had three straight years of revenue growth.

“The team here is experienced, energetic, and passionate about helping our customers succeed; I’m really excited about today, and so grateful that so many of our customers took time out of their business schedules to learn more about our commitment to this market.”

Drew Pawlak, AGS vice president and general manager for Latin America, said that this year AGS had an impressive turnout of customers representing operators like Codere, Winpot, Central Gaming, Big Bola and PlayCity. “We’re thrilled with the number and quality of customers; everyone has been very excited about our focus on innovation and customer partnership.”

The high-energy event, held this year at Piso 51 in the heart of Mexico City’s central business district, reflected the success and growth of AGS’ Mexico operations. AGS’ Mexico business achieved record revenue in 2018, adding more than 1,000 new recurring-revenue games, driven by the recent introduction of its ICON dual-screen cabinet and premium Orion Portrait cabinet. Table games and solutions also gained momentum, with the company’s Bonus Spin Blackjack progressive driving growth.

Following introductory remarks by Lopez, AGS Chief Technology Officer Sigmund Lee presented the company’s R&D vision, provided an update on AGS’ investment in innovation, and shared AGS’ excitement about the Mexico introduction of its Orion family of cabinets and game content library.

AGS executives also discussed the recent launch of AGS’ Alora video bingo cabinet and game library.

Eduardo Alvarez, director of sales for AGS’ Latin America business, said, “Mexico has a well-established video bingo market of more than 20,000 machines, and we are confident that our innovative Alora cabinet and entertaining game portfolio will resonate with the Mexico player base. Our Alora cabinets feature a unique foot pedal for a truly immersive, hands-free play experience—the initial feedback we are hearing from early placements is very positive.”
