Gaming supplier AGS will hold its seventh GameON conference this week at Encore Boston Harbor. The unique conference features keynotes from experts in non-gaming fields, on subjects that can be adapted to the gaming industry, as well as several gaming-related panel discussions.
The GameON conference, an invite-only event designed to give general value to AGS’ customers, is not centered on AGS slot and table products, although several will be displayed in a dedicated area. AGS CEO David Lopez has noted that the event is not meant to sell products, but to provide an intimate setting for company officials to get to know their customers, and provide those customers with thought-provoking presentations.
Keynotes include Dr. Sahar Yousef, a neuroscientist and professor at the University of California, Berkely, who will present ways to increase productivity by understanding the physiology behind rising energy levels; and Jim VandeHei, CEO and co-founder of the online news site Axios, who, along with Axios partner Mike Allen, will receive the Fourth State Award for their contributions to journalism.
Panel discussions will include a session on North American sports betting, the future of online casino content, systems technology and other gaming-related subjects. Panelists will include top experts in each field, with AGS officials moderating.
