Agua Caliente Band Unveils $250 Million Stadium Idea

The tribe that is based in Palm Springs, California has partnered with Oak View Group and Live Nation Entertainment to propose a $250 million 10,000-seat sports arena and entertainment center. The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians will hold a groundbreaking next February.

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians has teamed with the Oak View Group out of Los Angeles and Live Nation Entertainment for a proposed $250 million 10,000 seat sports arena and entertainment center on 16 acres in downtown Palm Springs, California.

Groundbreaking and the beginning of construction for the ambitious project are planned for next February. It would include a sports and entertainment arena just north of the existing Agua Caliente Casino Palm Springs, with a 170,000 square foot arena, 35,000 SF practice facility and 44,000 SF for lockers and support.

The facility could become home to an expansion team of the AHL. NHL Seattle and OVG have applied to the league for the 32nd AHL Franchise.
