National leaders of the tribal gaming industry will converge on the Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona this week for the annual conference of the Arizona Indian Gaming Association (AIGA), which represents 18 Arizona tribes.
The AIGA Expo this year, which carries the theme “Explore the Many Facets of Gaming,” will feature a mock presidential debate, in which a panel of tribal leaders will debate important issues facing tribes and which of the national political parties is best suited to address them. Also featured will be a Tribal Leadership Forum, in which leaders of Arizona, New Mexico and California will discuss the tribal gaming business.
In addition to AIGA Executive Director Valerie Spicer and other Arizona tribal leaders, national leaders attending the expo will include Ernie Stevens Jr., chairman of the National Indian Gaming Association; Jonadeve Chaudhuri, chairman of the National Indian Gaming Commission.
