Ainsworth Gets Colorado Division of Gaming Approval

Ainsworth Game Technology will now be able to do business in Colorado after the company was approved for a license by the state’s Division of Gaming.

Ainsworth Game Technology last week announced its approval as a Manufacturer/Distributor/Operator-Type 2 by the Colorado Division of Gaming.

The license from the Colorado Division of Gaming permits Ainsworth to sell and distribute its world-class slot games and other products to commercial casino operators throughout the state. Ainsworth now holds over 230 gaming licenses in North America, covering nearly every major gaming jurisdiction on the continent.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring our innovative product line, including the brand-new A600 and A640 slot cabinets, to Colorado,” said Ainsworth President – North America Mike Dreitzer. “This marks one of the final markets for Ainsworth to earn approval. It’s a great moment for the company and we look forward to partnering with casino operators throughout the state, following a field trial which should get underway in January.”

Ainsworth introduced the A600 in the North American gaming market this summer with a library of more than 40 unique game titles. More than 40 additional titles for the cabinet are expected to be released by the end of June 2017. A600 cabinets can be found on casino floors in Nevada, Florida, California, Oklahoma, Maryland, Michigan, among other markets.

“The A600 launch shows that Ainsworth continues to experience significant growth in the North American market,” Dreitzer said. “Our initial placements have performed well. We are especially pleased that new games developed specifically for the A600, such as our Cash Odyssey series, have been widely accepted by players. We’re excited to continue providing a strong content roadmap to ensure the continued strong performance on the A600.”

The A640 cabinet was introduced at the annual Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in September. The first units are expected to be deployed on casino floors later this month and in early January.
