John Bertolone, former Ainsworth Game Technology North American president, has resigned to take on a role as executive director at the International Center for Gaming Regulation at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The company said the existing North American executive team will continue to manage the business under the direction of CEO Lawrence Levy.

“We have an experienced North American team in place that continues to deliver positive results for North American businesses,” Levy said. “I will continue to work and collaborate with them on our strategy to further grow our business in this key region.”

Levy thanked Bertolone for his contribution in helping the North American business deliver strong results for Ainsworth, putting in place a “strong foundation for future success.”

Ainsworth’s business in North America was the best performer in the most recent financial year, with revenue up 8 percent to $114 million, and profit gaining 16 percent to $47.1 million.
