Alabama Lottery Measure “Dead This Session”

Alabama will remain one of five states without a lottery since a bill allowing a paper lottery was declared "dead for this session" by state Rep. Steve Clouse (l.). Voters would have had a chance to approve the constitutional amendment authorizing a paper lottery in March. It would have generated an estimated $167 million annually.
