Current board member and acting CEO Anders Holmgren has been named CEO of Cherry AB and Yggdrasil Holding Ltd. The appointment means he will resign from the company’s Board of Directors.
“Anders Holmgren has, during his years as a board member of Cherry AB, been a driving force for the company and possesses an excellent knowledge of the industry in which we operate,” said Rolf Åkerlind, chairman of the board in a press release. “His experience working within large companies in the finance and gaming industries, as well as an entrepreneur, will give Cherry impetus to continue the company’s expansive development.”
Holmgren has previously been a member of the board of directors for Betsson AB, CEO for Betsson Malta, and from Sjunnesson & Krook AB/Matteus Fondkommission. Holmgren is 44 years old and holds a masters in business administration from Boston College and the International University of Monaco, the release said.
