Paul Arbuckle, who resigned his post as CEO of Donaco International Ltd. in December, has agreed to continue in the role on a month-to-month basis while the company searches for a new chief executive. Arbuckle was due to make his exit June 4.
In filing last week, Donaco said it is still considering “a number of quality candidates.”
Arbuckle joined Donaco in June 2019, and planned to make his exit after just one year in the position. He will remain on board in the interim will allow for a smooth transition to a new CEO, the company added.
Donaco operates two casinos, at Star Vegas in Cambodia and Aristo International Hotel in Vietnam. Star Vegas remains closed due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, but Aristo recently reopened for business, with limited operations.
According to Inside Asian Gaming, Arbuckle tendered his resignation following a “boardroom coup that claimed the scalps of long-serving Chairman Stuart McGregor, industry veteran David Green and Aruze Gaming’s Yugo Kinoshita.”
