Argentina Approves Online Gaming Tax Increase

Argentina has approved an increase in taxes on online gaming effective next year. The taxes will rise from 2 percent to 5 percent, as recommended by Finance Minister Martín Guzmán (l.). Certain companies from certain low or no taxation countries would pay 10 percent. The Argentinean State Lottery Association voiced concerns would benefit illegal gambling operations.
