On March 11, Connecticut-based tribal operator Mohegan announced that it appointed Ari Glazer as its next chief financial officer.
Glazer’s tenure begins May 1, with outgoing CFO Carol Anderson leaving March 31. Mohegan President and CEO Ray Pineault will fill in on an interim basis.
Prior to joining Mohegan, Glazer spent 20 years in various positions at Citigroup, most recently serving as managing director and global head of gaming and hospitality for the firm. According to Mohegan, his duties will include oversight of all financial planning and analysis, capital markets, accounting, tax and more.
“Ari embodies the visionary leadership and deep financial insight that Mohegan is looking for at this stage of our growth,” Pineault said in a statement. “His skills will be key to our strategy of diversifying Mohegan’s portfolio and strengthening our fiscal foundation.”
Glazer’s appointment comes at an opportune time for Mohegan, which recently opened its long-awaited Inspire casino resort in South Korea, among other domestic developments.
