Aristocrat Takes NFL Slots Online
Aristocrat Gaming is releasing a free-to-play social online version of its NFL-branded slot game. NFL slots, still being rolled out in Class III and Class II in a variety of formats, allow players to pick their favorite NFL team, after which all game features carry that team’s logos, images, and game footage from the most recent season.
The NFL is the first U.S. sports league to license its intellectual property to a physical casino game, and now a mobile game. Many see the free-to-play social game—initial play is free, and the player can purchase virtual currency to continue play—as a precursor to a real-money iGaming release of NFL slots.

IGT developed the game in collaboration with Houston’s estate and song publisher Primary Wave Music, to include images of Houston performing her most popular songs.
The slot itself is featured on a new immersive cabinet called SkyRise, featuring a giant display consisting of two stacked 55-inch monitors and a custom sound system. The performance footage is woven into reel-spinning and a pot-style feature that leads to a hold-and-re-spin feature.
The game creates a “concert-like experience,” IGT said in a press release, featuring hit songs such as “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” “So Emotional,” and “How Will I Know,” which are brought to life through a synchronized audio and video experience on the SkyRise cabinet.
Everi Seeks Dismissal of Koin Lawsuit
Everi Holdings has asked a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by digital wallet supplier Koin Mobile over Everi’s CashClub Wallet digital payment system.
Koin’s lawsuit claims that CashClub Wallet, which is linked to Everi’s fintech solutions and payment gateways, violates U.S. antitrust law by “tying” the use of its digital wallet to other company services involving cash-access, and through long-term exclusive agreements that bar casinos from working with other non-Everi digital wallet providers.
In its motion for dismissal filed last week, Everi claims Koin’s argument is “misguided” and “flawed,” and the lawsuit should thus be thrown out.
