Aristocrat to Change Leadership Structure

Aristocrat Leisure Limited announced that it will implement a new leadership structure, including appointment of a global chief operating officer. In addition, Atul Bali (l.) has resigned as president of the company’s Americas division, replaced by Rich Schneider, the chief product officer.

Australian slot manufacturer Aristocrat Leisure Limited announced a new global leadership structure, including a new global chief operating officer and the departure of Atul Bali from the top post at Aristocrat Americas, effective in March.

Rich Schneider, the chief product officer for Aristocrat, has been named as interim president of the company’s Americas division.

“I would like to acknowledge Atul Bali’s leadership and contribution during his time at Aristocrat, particularly in supporting our product strategy and helping to guide our growth in digital gaming,” said Jamie Odell, CEO and managing director for Aristocrat Leisure Limited. “On behalf of everyone at Aristocrat, I wish Atul every success in his future endeavors.”

A global chief operating officer will join the leadership team, taking responsibility for the group’s Class III sales and marketing footprint globally. The leaders of Aristocrat’s operating business in Australia/New Zealand, Asia Pacific and EMEA will report to the COO. The role will be based in Las Vegas and will also manage the Americas business.

The group expects to appoint a COO by mid-2014.

“These changes will ensure maximum consistency and focus on our front-end delivery across our Class III businesses globally,” said Odell. “I’m confident our new executive structure will ensure we extract maximum benefit from our strong new product portfolios in the market and position the business to accelerate our performance trajectory.”
