Arizona Casinos Extend Closures

Casinos in the Phoenix, Arizona area have announced when they will be reopening. They all take into account the order by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey’s extending the shut-down to May 15.

Most Indian casinos in the Phoenix, Arizona area have announced that they will extend their closures at least until the middle of May. Two say they will stay closed until the end of May: Talking Stick Resort and Casino and Casino Arizona, owned by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

The announcements anticipated Governor Doug Ducey’s extension to May 15 that he announced April 29.

Fort McDowell Casino, owned by the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, plans to remain closed through May 14 and open the next day.

Vee Quiva, Lone Butte, and Wild Horse Pass, owned by Gila River Hotels and Casinos will remain closed through May 15.

Ak-Chin Hotel and Casino, managed by the Ak-Chin Indian Community, will remain closed until further notice.

Desert Diamond West Valley Casino, owned by the Tohono O’Odham Nation will stay closed through May 15.
