Last week, the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise of Arizona hosted a preview of its new $450 million facility, the Desert Diamond Casino White Tanks (l.) at San Lucy, which is due to be complete by the end of 2024.

On April 23, the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise of Arizona hosted a press tour of the new $450 million Desert Diamond Casino White Tanks at San Lucy.

The West Valley gaming resort is due to open by the end of 2024.
The casino will offer 900 Class III slot machines, a poker room, a sportsbook and table games including blackjack, craps, roulette and baccarat. The resort will also include several restaurant options, including fine dining at Morton’s Steakhouse.

Future phases of construction will add a hotel, conference center and other amenities. The project is creating 5,500 construction jobs. Once completed, the facility will employ more than 1,000 team members.

The 184,000-square foot casino will offer 900 Class III slot machines, a poker room, a sportsbook, and table games including blackjack, craps, roulette, and baccarat. Guests will enjoy multiple exciting restaurant options, including fine dining at Morton’s Steakhouse.

Future phases of construction will add a hotel, conference center and other amenities. Once completed, the facility will employ more than 1,000 people, according to a news release from the tribe.

“Desert Diamond Casino White Tanks at San Lucy will be a beautiful, upscale facility that will be an entertainment mecca and economic engine for the fastest-growing region in the Valley,” said Mike Bean, CEO of the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise. “Our construction team is doing an incredible job keeping us moving forward on an aggressive timescale. We are excited to create more opportunity for the Tohono O’odham Nation and the West Valley.”

The property is located on 80 acres of reservation land west of Glendale.

Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment has three locations in Southern Arizona, in Tucson, Sahuarita and Why, and one in the West Valley near Glendale. All are owned and operated by the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise, an enterprise of the Tohono O’odham Nation.
