Aruze Gaming has promoted Deputy General Counsel Robert Blair to the position of global general counsel. Blair started the role in August, but the group announced the promotion last week, in a press release issued on behalf of Aruze Gaming America Inc. and Aruze Gaming (Hong Kong) Ltd.
Blair has been with the Aruze group since November 2017, when he was hired as the global senior intellectual property counsel.
Blair is now responsible for the group’s corporate legal affairs, as well as leading its corporate strategic and tactical legal and contractual initiatives, providing senior management with effective advice on company strategies and subsequent implementation, managing the legal and contracts function and overseeing the work of outside counsel.
“As a legal, patent and gaming veteran, Bob brings an incredible amount of strength and wisdom to Aruze,” said Aruze President Rob Ziems. “In this new capacity, his expertise will continue to lead and guide the global organization as we continue to expand and enter into new and exciting areas of business.”
