Ascot Racecourse Signs Media Rights Deals with ATR and SIS

England’s Ascot Racecourse has entered into a media rights deals with specialist racing broadcaster At The Races and multi-channel content supplier Sports Information Services.

The deal allows ATR to sell live coverage of Ascot race as well as giving it rights to grant sub-licenses to deliver coverage in licensed betting offices and online for qualifying users. ATR will have the exclusive right to license the rights to certain pari-mutuel betting operators that also sell fixed-odds betting rights.

SIS will hold international fixed odds betting rights worldwide, with the exception of the UK, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore. SIS is permitted to sell coverage in connection with fixed-odds betting within these markets, according to local reports.

“We have placed these two specialized international betting picture rights contracts with proven experts in their respective fields as part of our strategy to partner with entities that best suit each contract’s individual need,” Ascot Racecourse chief commercial officer Juliet Slot said.
