Atlantic City Alliance Seeks to Draw Tourists through Discount Hotel Deals

The Atlantic City Alliance—the city’s marketing arm—announced a new set of hotel packages and discounts in the hopes of attracting tourists back to the city. Included are “Taste of Summer” deals designed to bring visitors to the resort in the winter.

It’s going to be a lot cheaper to stay in Atlantic City under a series of hotel packages and discounts announced by the Atlantic City Alliance—creators of the “Do AC” marketing campaign.

The campaign includes special “Taste of Summer” packages designed to bring people to the city during the winter months.

The deals focus on individual hotels and prices vary. The deals also focus on weekend stays, but five casino hotels offer packages seven nights a week.

Details are available at doatlanticcity.com/tasteofsummer, which also links to each hotel’s booking site.

Some examples includes a $49 room rate at Trump Plaza Hotel Casino to a $109 rate at Revel Casino Hotel—two casino hotels which have been struggling recently. The deals at all casino hotels include extras such as food credits and spa passes.

“The Taste of Summer packages are geared toward deal-oriented consumers who want a great deal, close by, at a great price,” said Jeff Guaracino, an ACA spokesman to the Press of Atlantic City.

The Alliance is also promoting a “Show Us Your Bling” package designed to draw bachelorette parties to the city and a “Do AC Nightlife” package geared to young club-goers.

The packages also include a small welcome gift for visitors. Visitors will receive “Do AC” beach balls. Participating casino hotels have also added new sand sculptures to their lobbies to create a “Taste-of-Summer” feel.
