Its casinos may be struggling, but Atlantic City’s restaurants got some love when restaurant reservation website OpenTable named it the most romantic place to eat in the U.S.
The site based its rankings on the percentage of restaurants called “romantic” in user reviews on the website, the percentage of tables for two at restaurants, and the percentage of people who ate out on Valentine’s Day in 2014.
Others in the top 25 for romantic dining include these California cities: Palm Springs (No. 8), Santa Barbara (No. 14), West Hollywood (No. 16) and Long Beach (No. 23).
The rest of the 10 most romantic cities were:
2. San Antonio
3. Providence, R.I.
4. Key West, Fla.
5. Birmingham, Ala.
6. Louisville, Ky.
7. Newport, R.I.
8. Palm Springs
9. Austin, Texas
10. Lahaina, Maui
