Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa will open the Borgata Baking Company next month inside its Retail Piazza.
The baked-goods shop will offer savory and sweet items around the clock, the casino said in a press release, and will serve products house-made by Borgata’s award-winning Executive Pastry Chef, Thaddeus DuBois.
According to the release, “guests may choose from classic desserts like Napoleons and Éclairs; fun pastries like Cake Pops, Whoopie Pies, and French Macarons; Pullman Sandwiches and warm breakfast pastries such as Cheesesteak Croissants; in addition to Illy Coffee, fresh-pressed juices, gluten-free and sugar-free options. Borgata Baking Company will also serve a variety of fresh gelato prepared in-house by Chef DuBois’ team of culinary talents.
“Borgata has continued to evolve throughout its decade-long position as the leading culinary destination in Atlantic City,” said Joe Lupo, senior vice president of operations for Borgata. “Under the direction of Borgata’s Vice President of Food & Beverage, Becky Schultz, Executive Chef, Tom Biglan, and Executive Pastry Chef, Thaddeus DuBois, this concept was designed to create a different, yet delectable option for our customer base. Borgata Baking Company’s accessibility and convenient location will satisfy guests’ impulsive cravings for quick-service any time, including options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert.”
The $1.5 million concept will host its Grand Opening celebration on Friday, May 23 through Monday, May 26 with a “Borgata Golden Chip” promotion. 500 prizes—including free cupcakes, scoops of gelato, Bonus Comp Dollars, and the grand prize of $1,000 Slot dollars—will be won by guests who purchase boxes of French Macaroons during Memorial Day Weekend, the release said.
