Baha Mar Picks IGT

The new Baha Mar casino resort in the Bahamas has selected 500 slot machines and the sbX Floor Manager server-based system from IGT.

Leading slot manufacturer International Game Technology announced that the new Baha Mar casino resort in Nassau, The Bahamas, has agreed to install more than 500 IGT slot machines, and the sbX Floor Manager server-based casino management system.

Slated to open this month, Baha Mar’s slot floor will be comprised of nearly 50 percent IGT games. The 100,000-square-foot gaming floor will include IGT titles ranging from the venerable Wheel of Fortune to IGT’s new S3000 spinning-reel cabinet.

“We’re thrilled to bring so many IGT games in combination with our innovative systems to such an esteemed casino project,” said Tim Shortall, IGT vice president of Eastern region sales. “IGT’s decades of leadership in the global marketplace give us the tools and expertise needed to deliver a diverse casino portfolio that will appeal to Baha Mar’s international audience. Through the deployment of sbX Floor Manager, Baha Mar can further refine and optimize its casino floor and deliver on its promise of the most remarkable casino in the Caribbean.”

“Baha Mar will completely redefine gaming entertainment in the Caribbean,” said Paul Pusateri, chief operating officer of Baha Mar. “We’re building a world-class gaming destination, and it’s imperative that we work with partners who share our same vision and commitment to excellence. IGT’s depth of gaming knowledge and breadth of portfolio are the best in the industry, and together, we’re creating the ultimate casino experience.”
