Valley Forge Casino Resort has named Ron Bailey vice president and general manager of the Pennsylvania resort.
Bailey spent 10 years as an executive with Boyd Gaming. In his new role, he will lead overall strategy and oversee day-to-day operations of the property, which includes a casino with 850 slot machines and 50 table games.
A native of New Jersey, Bailey has extensive experience within the hospitality field, including hotel operations, food and beverage, convention business and casino operations, beginning his career as a bellman and working his way up through the industry.
“Ron is a seasoned executive with a strong track record of success and diverse experience from multiple gaming properties and jurisdictions. Under Ron’s leadership and with our talented team at Valley Forge Casino Resort, we expect to see continued growth for the property and exceptional service for our guests,” said Ted Bogich, executive vice president of operations for Boyd Gaming Corp.
Prior to joining Valley Forge, he was vice president and general manager at Boyd Gaming’s Sam’s Town Hotel & Casino in Shreveport, Louisiana. In addition, he previously served as assistant general manager at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
“I am thrilled to work alongside the team at Valley Forge Casino Resort. It is a very exciting time for the gaming industry in Pennsylvania, as the state leads as the nation’s second-largest gaming market, second only to Nevada. I look forward to continue to play a role in its success,” Bailey said.
