Bally’s Chicago Casino is teaming up with the City Colleges of Chicago to offer local residents training to become a casino table games dealer. Dealer TRAINING SCHOOL, set to open this spring, will supply the hundreds of dealers the new $1.7 billion casino will require.
Mayor Lori Lightfoot said, “The opportunities offered at Bally’s Chicago Casino will provide our residents access to good-paying union jobs and a foothold into the broader gaming and hospitality industry. The Dealer School, working in coordination with City Colleges, is the first step to delivering on the promise of these jobs that residents from any neighborhood or walk of life can take advantage of. I look forward to continuing our coordination with Bally’s to ensure the Casino is an equitable economic driver for our city.”
Ameet Patel, senior vice president and regional general manager at Bally’s Corporation, said, “Our dealer training school is an exciting opportunity for Chicagoans to receive real workforce training for a new profession and become a member of one of the best gaming companies in the world. Bally’s Chicago management team will lead the initial dealer training course, which will be available through CCC curricula in the near future, officials said.
