Bally’s Corporation has pressed ahead with plans to rebrand the Belle of Baton Rouge venue in Louisiana ahead of a new property opening in December.
The newly named Bally’s Baton Rouge Casino and Hotel will officially open inland in a few weeks’ time. It will replace the existing, nearby river-based casino in a multi-million-dollar project led by Bally’s.
Both the name change and opening remain subject to approval by the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, Business Report said. However, this is expected to be a formality, with the property set to open as planned before the end of 2025.
Baton Rouge to ‘Light Up’ Downtown area
Once open, the land-based property will feature 25,000sq ft of gaming space. This includes slot machines, a range of table games and a sportsbook with a number of betting kiosks.
Additional amenities include the ‘Dining Depot’ with various bars and restaurants, a bowling alley and luxury gaming lounges.
The adjacent hotel, which is also owned and operated by Bally’s is already open. The venue is home to 242 rooms, suites, a fitness center and VIP lounge.
Richard Cannon, general manager of Bally’s Baton Rouge Casino and Hotel, said the new venue will “light up” downtown.
