Barrett Named SVP, GM at Harrah’s SoCal

Harrah’s Resort Southern California has appointed Jill Barrett the property’s senior vice president and general manager.

With nearly three decades of experience in the gaming industry including stints at several Harrah’s properties, Barrett aims to guide Harrah’s Resort SoCal forward as the leading casino and resort in Southern California.

“On behalf of the Rincon Tribe, we are ecstatic to have Jill Barrett serve as the new General Manager for Harrah’s Resort SoCal,” said Chairman Bo Mazzetti of the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians. “Ms. Barrett has proven to be a trusted leader who consistently delivers results. Over the years, she has demonstrated the ability to lead and manage operations and we are beyond confident in her experience. We look forward to continuing to work with her in this new role.”

Barrett joined Harrah’s Resort SoCal as vice president of finance in 2008, and served as general manager for three months in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic. Prior to her time at Harrah’s Resort SoCal, she was the director of finance at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino and also spent time at Harrah’s Reno. She earned the Caesars’ Excellence in Leadership Award in 2019 and this year’ was awarded the Leadership Award from the North San Diego Business Chamber.
