On November 15, Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi announced that it had promoted Kimberly Pelaez to vice president of human resources. Pelaez will focus on talent management, employee engagement and culture.
The Biloxi native began her career at Beau Rivage in 1999 in hotel operations and held numerous leadership roles in that division prior to 2014, when she joined the HR team as talent acquisition and employment manager. She was later promoted to human resources partner, and in 2019 was named director of the property’s HR department.
Pelaez most recently held the role of MGM regional director of talent acquisition, where she was responsible for developing talent strategies, goals and processes for eight regional MGM Resorts properties.
“My career with MGM Resorts International began as a job in college which grew into a career in which I have held 14 different positions over the last 23 years,” said Pelaez. “I have had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the very best leaders in the industry and truly believe that MGM offers development and advancement opportunities like no other. MGM and Beau Rivage continually invest in their employees and in the communities in which they operate and I am proud to be a part of the team.”
In her new role, Pelaez will partner with the Human Resources Center of Excellence and Beau Rivage’s property leadership team to define, develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives around talent management, organizational effectiveness, change management, employee engagement and culture.
Known as the crown jewel of the Gulf Coast, the four-diamond Beau Rivage Resort & Casino has been named one of the “South’s Best Resorts” by Southern Living.
