Belgium to Limit Gambling Advertising

The Belgian government is moving towards banning casino advertising and banning sports gaming during games.

The government of Belgium regulators will soon impose new limits on casino advertising, include a ban on casinos advertising within the country, with some exceptions for online only advertising.

Sports betting may only be advertised after games have been played. Such ads will be prohibited during live sporting events. Celebrities and athletes are not allowed to represent gaming firms.

Some restrictions apply to content, such as any ad that would promote excessive gambling. All advertising must include addiction warnings.
