Belle Eyes More Philippines Casinos

Real estate developer Belle Corp. may bid on a Philippine casino license when more openings come up. The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. has said no licenses will be made available until all four Entertainment City projects are complete, probably sometime in 2018.

Philippines-based developer Belle Corp. has expressed interest in bidding on a gaming license in the country when and if the market expands. The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. says no licenses will be considered until a quartet of megaresorts planned for Manila’s Entertainment City are finished and open, possibly sometime in 2108, according to CalvinAyre.com.

“We’re interested in bidding for any casinos outside Metro Manila,” Belle CFO Manuel Gana told ABS-CBN News, “but PAGCOR hasn’t made that decision yet.”

Two projects are already open in Entertainment City?Solaire and City of Dreams. Tiger Resorts’ Manila Bay Resorts and Resorts World Bayshore are still in development. Belle Corp. also plans to develop a 9,000-square-meter (2.2-acre) property near City of Dreams Manila for a real estate project or “some gaming content with PAGCOR’s permission.”
