The Parliament in Bermuda recently voted to amend the Casino Gaming Act of 2014 with a new three-step casino licensing process, said Tourism Minister Michael Fahy. He noted the action will make it quicker and easier for up to three casino resorts to be approved.

Fahy said the Fairmont Hamilton Princess and the St. Regis hotel under development in St. George have been granted “designated site orders” and have completed the first of the three licensing steps.

Fahy added in the next few months, Bermuda will establish additional regulations regarding the development of casino resorts on the island.
