Scientific Games Corporation announced that SG Connect, the company’s field service division in the U.K., has been awarded a contract by Best Gaming Technology (BGT) to refurbish, supply and service 2,050 of its Vision self-service betting terminals (SSBTs), which will be deployed to the Ladbrokes estate.
SG Connect, the field-based services division of SG Gaming, will provide a range of service support for Scientific Games terminals, including helpdesk, field service and product management, as well as providing hardware for the terminals. BGT will provide the software to run on the terminals.
Under the contract, every Ladbrokes shop in the U.K. will house at least one SSBT that uses SG Connect hardware. The number of SG Connect-serviced SSBTs in the Ladbrokes estate will double in the space of two years, following the success of 1,730 SSBTs already deployed to Ladbrokes by SG Connect.
The rollout will begin this month, and is expected to be completed August, ahead of the start of the football season. SG Connect will carry out around 150 installations per week.
“This industry-leading supply and service agreement expands our global reach as a provider of sports betting solutions and increases our SSBT footprint in the U.K. LBO market,” said James Coxon, director of support services for SG Connect. “It will see SG Connect become the largest supplier of SSBTs into the U.K. market and the service partner for the majority of SSBTs operated by U.K. LBO customers.”
